Dog Parks

The area is also very dog friendly with four dog parks. In Whitfield Park, there’s Woof-field Park for the big guys and Barker Park for lap dogs and better. In Homestead Park you’ll find Houndstead Park. While in Cunningham Park, you’ll find Dog Paddle Park that has access to Cannon Lake. Perfect for dogs that love to get wet.


Starkey Ranch K-8 School is a partnership between Pasco County Schools, Parks, Public Libraries, and Wheelock Communities. High school students attend River Ridge High School.

Creative World offers the highest quality education for infants through Pre-K. Across the street is Starkey K-8 School, a state-of-the-art Pasco County public magnet school with an innovative, modern approach to education.

On the K-8 School Campus is Pasco County Libraries’ Starkey Ranch TLC, home to a wonderful Theater, Library, and Cultural Center. During school hours, the Starkey Ranch TLC shares certain facilities with the Starkey Ranch K-8 School, and after the school day is over, some of the school’s recreational facilities are open to the public.

Softball Fields

Just down the street the park has four new softball fields opened in 2021 and more amenities for the local community.

Starkey Ranch Town Center

Starkey Ranch Town Center has a Publix Supermarket minutes from home. The Town Center is also a vibrant mix of retail, restaurants, and practical convenience business centers like UPS, dry cleaners and dental clinic.

Another unique retail center at the entrance of the community is the Starkey Ranch Business Park. It has a diverse mix of dining, essential services, and retail.
